Bye Bye, Chicago

I'm leaving Chicago today for three weeks to go hang out in the Great White North we like to call Northern Michigan. To think, I still need to pack all of my stuff, workout, eat, and clean before Dad arrives at 2...which is 3 and a half hours away!

Anyway, my stint in Chicago the past two weeks was lively. Yesterday, I saw Cousin Tom for the first time since the Michigan, Notre Dame game (he jinxed them!!!), and second cousin (same generation) Boyd. We hung out and good times were had by all. I don't know where the time went between 3 and 7 yesterday, but I think it had something to do with the shooting that took place not more than 4 blocks from where we were on Monroe during that time.

Yes, Chicago has been abuzz the past couple days. They arrested a suspected independent terror plotter who was planning to use four grenades to blow up a suburban mall, and then the shooting downtown. I'd rather the Bears just go to the Superbowl (if Grossman gets his act together). It'd be much safer. If the Cubs were to ever play the White Sox in the Series, Chicago would blow up off the face of the earth. Those fans HATE eachother...well mainly, it's the White Sox fans who hate Cubs fans. The Bulls are doing better now, having won 6 in a row.

I must go get ready to leave this great city so I don't keep the pops waiting. I'll keep you posted on fun times in TC.
